Recently, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) showed its support by granting P5,000 financial aid to each member of the 5,000-strong LGBTQIA+ community in Mandaluyong City.

The agency’s Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP) has been instrumental in providing aid to those who need it most, including the LGBTQIA+ community.

It’s also heartening to see Deputy Secretary General Sofonias Gabonada Jr.’s involvement, as he ensured that AKAP beneficiaries came from both the City of Mandaluyong and members of LGBT Pilipinas in Metro Manila.
