“Pride, Politics, and Celebrations: A Mixed Bag of News Around the World”

As Pride Month comes to a close, cities around the world are celebrating in style! From parades to festivals, there’s no shortage of excitement as people come together to celebrate love, acceptance, and equality.

In San Francisco, California, a rainbow art installation kicked off Pride weekend celebrations. Meanwhile in Toronto, thousands gathered for the city’s annual Pride parade. And let’s not forget about Cold Lake in Canada – they’re gearing up for their Full Throttle Festival this July 19th!

But it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows (pun intended). In South Africa, President Cyril Ramaphosa announced a new cabinet that includes former opposition leader John Steenhuisen as minister of agriculture. And in the UK, Steve Bannon – former Donald Trump aide – began his four-month prison sentence for contempt of Congress.

In other news, Canada is celebrating its 157th birthday with events across the country! But unfortunately, bad weather has forced some event cancellations and postponements in Halifax. On a lighter note, Museums are offering free admission at the Halifax Citadel National Historic site from 9 am to 5 pm today!

And if you’re looking for more excitement, Islanders on P.E.I. can expect road closures due to Canada Day celebrations! In Charlottetown, residents are encouraged to walk or bike instead of driving.

In sports news, Glos and Glamorgan batters struggled as wickets fell in a thrilling match. And in art world news, Banksy posted a clip of his latest performance at Glastonbury Festival – featuring an unsuspecting band!

But let’s not forget about the more serious issues facing our world today. Two more Palestinian men have come forward to share their stories of being forced onto the bonnet of an Israeli jeep after being shot.

That’s all for now! Stay tuned for more updates and news from around the world!
