Choosing (Not A Straight Play) is all set to captivate audiences at Power Mac Spotlight Blackbox Theater in Ayala Circuit, Makati, on weekends from June 29 to July 7. This unique theatrical production boasts an impressive cast led by Seguerra and Liza Diño as they bring the heartfelt play about identity, love, and self-discovery to life.
The story revolves around Stella and Mitch’s intertwined journeys as they navigate their individual transformations amidst life’s highs and lows. As they delve deeper into their identities and relationship, Stella and Mitch discover the power of choice in finding happiness and staying true to themselves. This production is a reflection of not just Diño’s experiences but those in her community whose stories are often unheard.
Seguerra, who has committed to starring alongside his wife for the first time ever, believes that their familiarity with each other will only add pressure as they strive to convincingly portray Mitch and Stella. He hopes that this play will break barriers and help audiences understand the unique experiences of people from their community.
